Shaka-Bella having a smoke.
I finally found a outfit that fits her really well. And that makes me dshkjdsffg
(yeah basically most of my OCs are poc if you haven’t noticed that already.)

Facial drawing studies. Used photographic references of different african tribes. Really inspiring. Expect more to come.

headcanon: The Duke has crowfeet eyes uvu
and also I draw him without his glasses too often, so I placed them on his head at least on this one.
And hhhhng the teeth will kill me.
anyway, I’m still livestreaming! UvU I’m gonna make this into a painting or something like that.
here’s some more drawings using the technique mentioned in earlier post. Thought this pose felt a lot like Shaka-Bella. So I gave her a Shaka face hehu.

Finished the sketch on Alaskatempest’s commission today. I decided to record the process, so there might be a time-lapse video later on. I realized that if I recorded it, I would force myself to not do other things meanwhile (like browsing tumblr) so I would focus 100% on the drawing.
It was quite effective, I should do this more often. I often easily lose focus when I livestream, because I need to check out stuff or respond to people’s questions or constantly having to tell people over and over to read the FAQ in the description…*totally not passive aggressive*
Used some tutorials and stock photos as reference for the pose and such, I wanted to make sure that I didn’t draw her sitting in the wrong position of the horse. Not to mention that the stylization has to co-op with the anatomy.
I’m thinking of finishing at least the lineart today. Which I could livestream.

look I arted…!
Taking a break from drawing and spending the whole evening playing mapcrunch wasn’t such a bad idea after all.
I’ve had lots of troubles lately in drawing full bodies.
Which is ironic considering all the anatomy tutorials I’ve made in the past. However, I think I found the solution for my problem; I never seem to draw the stick-figure base anymore. And that might’ve explained why I always ended up with too large ribcage to the pelvis.
I really should start getting more used to just drawing a simple stick-figure skeleton first, to get the proportions right. The box for the pelvis is secondary for me in this situation.
I think what helps me out the most right now is to just go back to the most basic methods in drawing bodies, the stick-figure skeleton is so simple, yet I still managed to completely forget it among all the boxes I had to redraw in order to get the right angle.
Anatomy exercises! I’ve been practising drawing turning torsos based on Pirate-Cashoo’s little post here.
I’m still livestreaming, i’m gonna do more exercises with other references now.

Today’s Anatomy Studies!
Oh man so much stuff done, and we worked the whole day! It was very fun, but now I really need to get some sleep. I hope to see the people who visited the stream and what they managed to draw during this LS. I haven’t been drawing so much anatomy lately, so this felt really nice to re-study. I actually spent some extra time to understand the complex construction of the elbow.
And I also did some studies using Hogarth illustrations, I’m usually not a big fan of his books. But when it comes to exaggerating muscles, Hogarth IS the best resource to use!

Samurai armor study.
Based on this painting as reference. Also did a little bit of the horse since I found the gears a bit interesting:

Drew this while finishing watching the first season of Tiger and Bunny (is there a second season btw? Or is it only one season?).
I know I know, the pose is super cliché. But I don’t wanna sit and worry about using a original pose (that’s where I get artblocket). Besides I never do these kind of poses, so it’s better to just draw them so I get them out of my mind, right?
Don’t really know about her design, but I think this is my newest OC Vanya (or Ronja… I still haven’t come up with a name for her dfshjkdsfhk). I mostly draw her dressed in victorian/classic lolita clothing. But since she wants to become a fighter, I should give her a second set of clothes and some kind of weapon as signature. Don’t know if I’ll go with those scythe-looking things on her arms. Anyway, will probably ink this tomorrow or something.

Hugin and Miré doing stuff together. I think Miré’s holding a pair of binoculars.
My two OCs who deserve some more attention. I have about 7 OCs more or less. 4 of them is in one story while the other 3 is in a separate story (because you actually do not need to fit all your 34 OCs in one story) .
I like the pose and such in this drawing, the anatomy needs to be fixed of course. But I’ll leave that for tomorrow.
If you gaiz have any questions about my OCs, just tell me and I’ll gladly post a 3 mile long TL;DR text post about them.
Corel decided to crash on me when I was fixing this sketch (improving the anatomy and other shit). Next time I work in corel, I shall check the box “create backup on save”. Unchecked it before because I thought it would improve the performance, which it obviously didn’t….
Livestream is over! Man, I got lots of sketches done, it was soo fun! Rarity turned out best imo, probably because she’s the funniest one to draw with her lovely mane and tail design. Will probably stream tomorrow when I do the sketch of Fluttershy and do the lineart on the sketches.
