paprikadoodles:

Okay so these are a little bit meh because they’re both first attempts at humanising Scar and Mufasa, and I wasn’t trying to stylise them too much so they seem a bit boring and rushed. It’s more to prove a point in how much facial structure can make it easy to tell two characters apart and say a lot about who they are personality wise.

ooh really good :D
One thing you should be careful about when it comes to scar is that it’s easy to make him look a lot like Jafar (since they both have narrow head shape). Also, I think it might be a good idea ot make the eyes on mufasa a tad smaller. His bangs resemble Simba’s a little bit more as well. Lol sorry I’m just being picky with the details haha.
A protip is to check out the character sheets and concept art on TLK-characters, it often shows you the process and hints on what is their main features.
Also, it’s good to know things like that scar is slightly based on the voice actors face apparently, so check that out as well :) sometimes animated movies tend to base the character design on the voiceactor (but that does not go for all characters of course).
