Reasons why I choose Corel Painter #1:

The Mirror-Painting option. Sadly it’s only available in Corel Painter 12, but it’s awesome to use when it comes to create patterns you want to have perfect symmetry.

And yes I’m too lazy to do the “copypaste and flip horizontally”-technique.
